Up for auction is this Original GM instruction sleeve for the new ignition lock system which was moved from the dash-board to the steering column. This instruction sleeve was positioned over the driver side sun-visor on new GM vehicles from 1969 through 1971. This is a remarkably well kept original piece with very crisp corners and straight sides. This auction is for one, but I have two equally pristeen.

FORGET run-flat tyres – soon we'll be driving on un-puncturable tyres with no air in them at all. Tyre maker Bridgestone has announced plans to have its AirFree concept tyre installed on road-going cars within three to five years. The company made the announcement at a special event at its headquarters in Tokyo.

A CONSORTIUM of car makers, infrastructure suppliers and energy consultancies has signed an exciting new agreement to turn hydrogen-powered cars into an everyday reality. The pioneering deal, dubiously named the HyFIVE project (Hydrogen For Innovative Vehicles), is the largest of its kind in Europe. The five manufacturers have agreed to deploy a total of 110 hydrogen fuel cell vehicles at several European locations and develop new clusters of hydrogen refuelling stations – and London is high on the list of targets.

Enter the production version of the Renault Captur at the start of 2013 and its subsequent debut at the Geneva Motor Show. Now Renault has revealed prices for the Captur, and its costs from £12,495 for the entry-level Expression trim with the TCe 90 engine, rising to £18,895 for the Dynamique S Media Nav with the dCi 90 engine and auto ‘box.
