Volvo drops plans to compete in the luxury F-Segment car market
Tue, 23 Apr 2013In fact, at the Shanghai Motor Show in 2011, Volvo delivered the Concept Universe car which we all though was pointing the way to what could be a Volvo S90; Volvo’s luxury car for Chinese plutocrats. It sported a rather strange ‘East meets West’ design language with a very odd nose and lots of curves, and it wasn’t exactly showered in plaudits. JLR launches UK recruitment campaign
Wed, 08 Jan 2014JAGUAR Land Rover has begun a campaign to recruit hundreds of new workers at its Engine Manufacturing Centre near Wolverhampton. Phase one of the overall plan will see 600 new employees join the company over the next four years, with the long-term aim being to recruit 1,400 extra staff members. The first 600 workers will be employed on the manufacturing line itself, producing parts for complex new engines destined to power cars like the Range Rover Evoque and the Jaguar F-Type.
Bio-Fuel Skycar to go in to production
Fri, 17 Apr 2009Parajet's Skycar looks set for road-legal production in 2010 [ad#ad-1] Three months ago we brought you news on the plans of London Company Parajet International Ltd to take their Skycar on a trip to Timbuktu. Well, not only was the trip a great success – they arrived in Timbutu on 26th March – but the Skycar is now destined to go in to production next year. Bedfordshire Company Rage Motorsport, best known for producing Buggies, is to partner with Parajet to produce completely road-legal versions of the Skycar, with Rage producing the cars/buggies and Parajet adding the bits to make it fly (which makes sense!).
