This is an NOS 6V headlight bulb in the original box. This 6V bulb has NO alignment tips and has SEALED BEAM"... "GE" and "Made In USA" raised in the glass at the bottom of the bulb. It measures 7" in diameter. This bulb was tested and is in perfect working condition on both HI and LO beams. This bulb is documented in the CTCI Restoration Manual as being an assembly line original for 1955 Thunderbirds. NOTE: This bulb will also fit many other vehicles of the time period with a 6V electrical system and which used one large bulb on either side of the car. Police to man busy London junctions
Mon, 25 Nov 2013THE METROPOLITAN Police will deploy 650 officers to busy London junctions today in response to the recent wave of cyclist deaths. The surge will see 2,500 officers hand out leaflets and fixed penalty notices at 166 junctions marked as the capital's worst. It comes after six cyclists died in two weeks in collisions with lorries, buses, and coaches - some mere hours apart.

Thu, 14 Mar 2013Volvo are updating the new V40 for 2014 with new engine and gearbox options and a new 4WD option for the V40 Cross Country in Europe. There’s a new petrol engine choice – to go with the existing T3, T4 and T5 – in the 120PS T2 petrol engine, a 1.6 litre which offers 53.3mpg and emissions of 124g/km, a good choice if you don’t like to hustle, don’t do big mileage and pay your own bills. As well as a new engine option, Volvo are offering an auto option on the V40 D2 and V40 R-Design D2 which manages economy of 68.9mpg and emissions of 102g/km.

Thanks to a respective 15bhp power hike from their 3.4-litre straight-six engines, the GTS twins shave precious tenths of their 0-62mph time, with the Cayman arriving in 4.6sec (when specced with the PDK paddeshifter gearbox), and the Boxster in 4.7sec. The respective top speeds are 177mph and 174mph.
