Ford and Geely agree on Volvo sale, could finalize deal in early 2010

Ford expects to sign a deal to sell its Volvo car unit to China's Zhejiang Geely Holding Group by the first quarter of 2010 and close the deal in the second quarter, the U.S. automaker announced today. Ford said that all of the deal's key commercial terms have been settled.

Lamborghini set sales record despite decline in U.S.

Lamborghini sales in the United States fell in 2008, but the brand still had a record year worldwide, said president Stephan Winkelmann. "We balanced sales in the Middle East, China and Southeast Asia with the drop in the United States," he said. Lamborghini sold 741 cars in the United States in 2008, down 20.3 percent compared with 2007.

As a result there was a healthy dose of American, British, German and French metal (and plastic) on display. And just for good measure there was also space for some Japanese classics too.
