Wed, 08 May 2013As CAR reported in our scoop last week, VW will unveil a higher-performance Golf GTI hot hatch at the 2013 Wörthersee show, and here we have the first sketches of the super-Golf. Called the VW Design Vision Golf GTI, the concept packs close to 500bhp and can outrun a Porsche 911. It's by far the most extreme Golf hot hatch since the Bentley-engined GTI W12 concept of 2007.
New York, California first to get electric Focus
Mon, 08 Aug 2011Customers in New York and California will be the first to take delivery of the 2012 Focus EV, according to a message posted on a Focus Forum from Ford marketing. That also explains some new material from the company which says, "2012 Focus electric; coming spring 2012." The Focus will launch in 19 markets, including Chicago, Detroit and Seattle, but it will hit the coasts first. AA urges private parking regulation
Fri, 11 Jul 2014PRIVATE LAND parking enforcers are "free to reap any and every parking infringement," despite recent legislation, according to the AA. Highlighting findings of the new Parking on Private Land Appeals (Popla) body, the AA said the requirements of the 2102 Protection of Freedoms Act were not always being observed. Popla's report for 2013/14 said some private parking operators were acting outside some statutory provisions of the Act in their pursuit of those who they think have offended.
