Here is a 1983 issue of Super Chevy magazine.  Included in this issue are 2 articles of interest.  The 1st is 2 pages, including pictures, on a factory 1965 Chevelle SS  396.  The 2nd is 2 pages also and covers a 1966 Nova SS equipped with a original L-79 option.   A lot of information on these cars is included in these articles.  This magazine is in excellent used condition.  Thank you for looking and good luck bidding.

John Fitch's Phoenix up for auction

John Cooper Fitch -- World War II hero, racer par excellence, safety pioneer, and all-around nice guy -- used to show off his Phoenix at the annual Greenwich Concours d'Elegance in southwestern Connecticut, not terribly far from his 1700s estate in his beloved Lime Rock. The Phoenix was his vision of an American Porsche, a strange mashup of a De Tomaso Pantera with Corvette Stingray. Twin humps on the fenders hid dual spare tires, different sizes for the front and rear.

The Ford Explorer is getting a redesign for 2011 and moving to a unibody platform, a here is the first prototype of the new SUV we've seen, getting a test drive on public roads. The Ford Explorer is the automaker's flagship SUV. The unibody platform for the 2011 model is a version being used for the Ford Flex wagon and the Ford Taurus/Lincoln MKS sedans.

Electric Kia Soul planned for 2014

Kia has revealed that they will offer a battery electric version of the next generation Kia Soul when it arrives in 2014. Hyundai may have seen the light and decided the future for cars lies with hydrogen fuel cell cars and not battery electric cars, but sister company Kia thinks differently. It seems an odd polarity for the Korean siblings to take different routes to the future of powertrains for cars, but perhaps it’s just a case of hedging bets rather than an inability by Kia to see how impractical the BEV is as a replacement for a normal ICE car?
