If you have a 1967 Shelby, deluxe interior Mustang, Eleanor, Shelby Clone or nice 1967 restomod this is by far the very finest brushed aluminum interior trim kit you can purchase for your car. This kit is for cars without factory air conditioning. These are not the  inferior non matching Taiwan brushed aluminum produced parts commonly available today. These parts match. All the brushed aluminum material is cut from the same coil to achieve this perfect match. The words WIPER and BRAKES are silk screened onto the brushed aluminum on the instrument bezel. The dash kit does not come with the passenger side emblem as shown in the picture for illustration purposes. Obviously we do not know what emblem, Shelby or Mustang,  you would like or need for your car. We do offer the emblems separately when a kit is purchased. The attaching hardware and shimming material for the panels is included just like that used by Ford back when the 1967 deluxe interior cars were factory produced. Each panel of the brushed aluminum comes with the plastic dash panel already attached and ready for installation. The instrument bezel is included of course. The instrument bezel lenses are not included as we would not know if your car had a tach dash or non tach dash. The lenses are available separately.

The door panel brushed aluminum comes with the metal backing attached. Detailed mounting instructions are included. The door panel inserts come to you with a vinyl coating left on for protection. This is easily removed. We have included pictures of the rear of the panels to show the metal backing and the mounting pins.

Please understand that this deluxe brushed aluminum panel kit is exactly that. Items shown for illustration such as the black deluxe door panels, dash itself, steering wheel, seats etc. are not included. You are purchasing all of the required matching brushed aluminum pieces required for a deluxe interior 1967 Shelby or Mustang with a deluxe interior and without air conditioning. We do offer a kit for factory air conditioned 1967 cars. Please inquire.

Once you purchase we will inquire by email or phone as to which dash emblem you intend to install on the passenger side panel above the glove box. We want to be certain that panel is properly drilled to accept your emblem of choice.

We have installed this kit on several Shelby's that were sold for in excess of $200,000.00 each. The buyers were thrilled with the quality of the brushed aluminum pieces. No complaints!

Chrysler recalls Jeeps for fire risk

Tue, 18 Jun 2013

Chrysler has decided to recall 2.7 million 1993 to 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee and 2002 to 2007 Liberty models for a potential risk relating to the fuel tank placement between the rear bumper and rear axle. The recall is initiated 15 days after the automaker originally denied a request following a National Highway Traffic Safety Administration investigation. On June 4, one day after NHTSA's finding, Chrysler rejected the request in a media statement, stating the NHTSA's initial conclusions are based on “incomplete analysis of the underlying data.” Chrysler said the impacted models met or exceeded all applicable requirements of the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards, including the ones pertaining to fuel system integrity.

At GM, the tail fin is back--but now it's a blade

Mon, 03 May 2010

Tail fins are making a comeback at General Motors Co., although they are a far cry from the saillike appendages of the 1950s. And this time the company is calling them blades. The look, pioneered on the Chevrolet Volt to improve aerodynamics, will appear on other models to boost fuel economy, said Ed Welburn, GM's global design chief.

If you don't know, a stock 1950 Chevrolet "drives like s--t," says Jonathan Ward, the CEO of Icon, who actually met his wife Jamie while restoring a Chevrolet pickup. "Archaic. I restored a few back in the day, back when I was still calling it a hobby." That's why Ward doesn't build stock 1950 Chevrolets.
