Discovery Sport Finally Breaks Cover

Wed, 03 Sep 2014

LAND ROVER has taken the wraps off its much-anticipated replacement for its current Freelander model. Called the Discovery Sport, the Brit premium car maker has decided to move its once entry-level 4x4 upmarket. Boasting styling cues inside and out from the Evoque and Range Rover Sport, the Discovery Sport is said to be more of an all-rounder than the Freelander, thanks to an increased focus on cabin space and versatility due to the inclusion of a third row of seats.

Morgan AeroMax For Sale: Hammond Morgan – just one prang

Sat, 12 Mar 2011

Richard Hammond's Morgan Aeromax is up for grabs at £100k As well as the joy of having a BBC budget to play with endless cars around the world, being a Top Gear presenter is also quite lucrative. Beyond the not inconsiderable salaries attached to presenting TG, the profile Top Gear affords has made stars out of the previously unknown Hammond and May, presented them with other lucrative presenting jobs and let their every uttering in print hit the best-seller lists. Captain slow may drive a Panda around town, but he has an F430 for play.

Runaway ostrich causes traffic chaos

Thu, 16 Jan 2014

Rush hour in the town of Tunbridge Wells took a humorous turn yesterday when a runaway ostrich shot past cars at speeds of over 40mph, with a clear disregard for road conditions, traffic and speed limits. Alarmingly, the rogue bird is still on the run from police and there are fears it could cause carnage in the town centre, as the RSCPA warns fully-grown ostriches max out at around 60mph. On Bing: see pictures of runaway ostriches Cars named after animals If the ostrich were to collide with an individual, its lack of crumple zones means the pedestrian could be badly injured and, as far we’re aware, ostriches are yet to be put through strict Euro NCAP crash tests.
