Factory fresh air intake duct in fender behind battery for a 1975-1981 Trans Am, Formula, or Firebird with a factory Pontiac 350, 400, or 455 engine. This part was also used on the Oldsmobile 403 engine. Part #489916. It mounts to the inner fender and goes behind the battery. It picks up fresh air from under the radiator core support and brings it up to the top edge of the battery. It is then hooked to another plastic part that changes from triangular to round. From there it hooks to a hose that mounts to the air cleaner. This duct is in good condition with normal wear but no damage. Great for a driver or for restoration. Check out the pictures and use close-up function for more details on the condition. Local pick-up is always an option. Please ask all questions before bidding. Buyer to prepay and add shipping listed. Payment can be made by Paypal or by mail, I will be glad combine multiple auction wins to save you money on shipping charges. I always try to keep my shipping charges as close to cost as possible with no handling charges ever. Thanks for looking and I hope you have a great day.

Chevy Volt to take on Vauxhall Ampera in Europe They’ve been hyped for a very long time – the Chevy Volt and Vauxhall Ampera – and 2011 is the year that both hit the roads. You don’t have to be an out and out petrolhead to know that Chevrolet have built the Volt for the North American market and that the Vauxhall Ampera (OK, Opel Ampera too) is for the European market. Or so we thought.

Seat Leon Cupra R (2009) first official pictures

Thu, 20 Aug 2009

By Gareth Evans First Official Pictures 20 August 2009 10:59 Seat has unveiled its most powerful production car ever, the new Leon Cupra R, with an S3- and Scirocco R-matching 261bhp.   Performance figures for the front-wheel drive hot hatch look good: 62mph is dispatched in 6.1 seconds, the top speed is 155mph, and yet the Cupra R returns 34.9mpg. Thank the high-tech 2.0 turbo engine from the Volkswagen group, which in this incarnation makes 261hp. Helping get all that power through the front wheels is XDS, the same system you'll find on the Golf GTI that effectively mimics a limited slip differential through the use of electronic wizardry.

Cadillac ELR recall targets stability control software issues

Mon, 31 Mar 2014

The 2014 Cadillac ELR is being recalled for an issue with its electronic stability control (ESC) system. According to NHTSA, the software for the car's electronic stability control system may inhibit certain ESC functions, and fail to alert the driver than ESC is partially or fully disabled. This could potentially give the driver no warning that ESC may be off entirely, which could result in a loss of control, increasing the risk of a crash.
