NHTSA announces Kia, Hyundai recalls

Tue, 03 May 2011

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said Tuesday that Hyundai Motor Co. is recalling almost 60,000 Kia Spectras from the 2004-2007 model years because of fuel-tank straps that can corrode over time. According to NHTSA, one or both straps can break, letting the tank drop to the ground.

Get up close and personal with the David Brown Automotive Speedback

Fri, 28 Mar 2014

The David Brown Automotive Speedback is certainly one of the more intriguing coachbuilt cars we've seen recently -- all the more so because it's a product of Britain, not the carrozzeria hub of Italy. The Speedback, in the words of DBA founder David Brown, seeks to combine the “classic simplicity of the '60s underpinned by a modern platform with all of the functionality you'd expect from a modern car.” And it does so successfully, from what we can tell so far.

Kia Pop concept (2010) first official pictures

Wed, 18 Aug 2010

Details on the new Kia Pop are sketchy, but at 3m long and with a triple-seat arrangement, it could be that Kia has its sights set on creating a rival to the Toyota iQ. In fact, we can see from the bird's-eye shot that the seating plan mimics that of Toyota's baby with two positions in a front bench and a single rear seat behind the front passenger.
