Here is a very nice early aircraft fuel filter probably from the 40's . I have seen these used

on dragsters of the 50's and Bonneville cars as well.  I don't see many around anymore, but would be a period correct part

for a 50's restoration of a dragster, or an early Bonneville car.

U.K. carmaker Bristol Cars was placed into administration on Thursday, the British equivalent of bankruptcy. Officials now running the company said several people were laid off but that it was keeping the sales and service operations open.

USED CAR buyer confidence is unlikely to improve significantly in 2011, meaning that demand for safety net products such as extended warranties will remain strong, says RAC Warranty. The company points out that at the end of 2010, used car warranties are still being enhanced – by both length of time and depth of cover – at around the same rates as during the worst parts of the recession, indicating that the mood of consumers remains cautious. Lutz deflates talk of new Chevy Caprice

Well, that was fast. Just four days after Bob Lutz, General Motors' new marketing honcho, raised the possibility of the Pontiac G8 living on as a new Chevrolet Caprice, he shot it down. "The G8 will not be a Caprice after all," Lutz wrote on GM's Fastlane blog on July 16.
