McLaren has locked out the front row for the Italian Grand Prix at Monza with Lewis Hamilton on pole and Jenson Button second. Lewis Hamilton grabbed pole position in Monza this afternoon for McLaren  in qualifying for the 2012 Italian Grand Prix, with a second place for Jenson Button locking out the front row for McLaren. It had looked throughout Q1 and Q2 that it would be Ferrari who were dominant and likely to take pole, but Alonso suffered a rear roll bar problem at the start of Q3 and ended at the bottom in tenth place.

Toyota Aygo Crazy set for Goodwood debut

It's a one-off, attention-grabbing supermini with a mid-engined layout like the Renault Clio V6.  The racing Aygo uses a 200bhp turbocharged version of Toyota's 1.8 VVT-i engine from the Celica and MR2 – making it somewhat more powerful than the regular Aygo's 68bhp. Porsche 911 Sport Classic to debut at Frankfurt

Porsche is planning some sports-car candy for the Frankfurt motor show: the limited-edition 911 Sport Classic, which blends styling cues from the brand's storied past with the always intoxicating notion of more power. The 911 Sport Classic will be limited to just 250 copies and will cost about $241,000. Unfortunately, it's not coming to North America.
