AN to NPT Adaptor, -6 AN to 1/8'' NPT Blue

These AN Adaptors are just what you need to install your Stainless Steel Lines in any configuration. They will work perfectly with our special PTFE Stainless Steel Lines, or any standard AN fittings.

Compatible with the following fluids:

  • High octane gasoline, up to 117 Octane or higher
  • Regular gasoline
  • Ethanol (E85 or E100)
  • Diesel fuel
  • Biodiesel
  • Methanol
  • Nitrous oxide
  • Engine oil (synthetic or regular)
  • Transmission fluid
  • Engine coolant/antifreeze
  • Brake fluid
  • Hydraulic clutch fluid
  • Air Conditioning Refrigerant (R12 or R134A)
  • Air and water, of course

Most of the braided stainless steel lines and fittings that you can buy actually have a rubber (EPDM or NBR) interior. Some competing products advertise a special coating on the inside of the rubber to make them resistant to ethanol and certain other chemicals. We think this is wrong wrong wrong. Why would you use a material that isn't 100% resistant to the chemicals in your application for absolutely no reason? Our PTFE lines are superior to our competitors rubber lines in every way and they cost less too!

Our lines are made of high-quality PTFE on the inside that gives them high chemical and heat resistance, along with a braided stainless steel outside which gives them high durability, extreme pressure resistance, and a professional and high-tech appearance. Be careful when buying Braided Stainless Steel Hose because they are not all the same! Make sure yours are compatible with the fluid, pressure and temperature in your application.

Braided Stainless Steel PTFE lines like ours are great for replacing many factory rubber hoses such as rubber fuel lines, brake lines, and clutch lines. PTFE does not deteriorate or bulge with age like rubber does, and has far superior chemical resistance. The stainless steel outside keeps the inner diameter uniform, allowing faster and more efficient fluid transfer (this means a firmer, more responsive pedal feel when replacing brake lines.) The stainless steel outside also keeps the lines looking shiny, new and professional all the time, and prevents damage to the inner hose.

Question: Are your braided stainless steel lines Teflon?

They are chemically identical to Teflon, however we can't call them Teflon because Teflon is a registered trademark of DuPont.

Question: What can I do with your lines and fittings?

  • Use them to replace your fuel lines and convert your car to run on Ethanol without worrying about breaking down your inferior factory lines
  • Deliver the methanol in your custom methanol injection kit
  • Design or modify your nitrous oxide system
  • Install an aftermarket oil cooler
  • Install an aftermarket transmission cooler
  • Run the water lines for a water to air intercooler
  • Install custom brake lines
  • Repair or replace the lines in your hydraulic clutch system
  • Repair or replace the lines in air conditioning system
  • And More!

Pressure Rating: 1500 PSI

Temperature Rating: -100F to 500F

Combined Shipping

Is shipping really free? Technically yes, but all sellers who offer free shipping have to inflate the item price to compensate - after all we have to pay the Post Office! EBay policy practically requires us to offer free shipping to remain competitive, but this causes us a major problem because that leaves us no way to offer combined shipping charges. For information about non-inflated item prices and truly combined shipping charges for much lower total cost on more than one item, find us online using our EBay store name.

Car Design News Contest

Mon, 07 Apr 2008

As one judge, Geert Jan Schellekens, Principal Automotive and Industrial Designer at SABIC Innovative Plastics, said; "From several hundred entries to 20 finalists in a day's time - what could have turned out to be a cumbersome process, if not a bureaucratic nightmare, actually became an intensive yet fun session with many intriguing and interesting interpretations of the contest brief - fuelling some lively discussions!" Another strong impression from judges was also of the variety of design entry and the effort that had been put into them, as Dale Harrow said: "I'm very impressed with the standard, and particularly with the diversity of entries to the contest". Derek Buckmaster,Global Market Director, Body Panels & Glazing for SABIC Innovative Plastics, said: "I was surprised by the depth of thought which the entrants had put into their designs to meet the diverse needs of the three 'milenniumites' described in the design brief. The designs displayed numerous approaches to meeting the environmentally-friendly and light-weight goals." All designs were considered relative to the Assessment Criteria a critically important part of the contest, created to ensure as much fairness in the process as possible and detailed in the Contest part of Car Design News.

CDN-GM Interactive Design Contest 2013 winners announced

Tue, 14 Jan 2014

In early December, the finalist entries from the CDN/GM Interactive Design Competition were put in front of the panel of judges from General Motors and Car Design News to determine the four winners of this year's internships with GM. This year, once again, the level of work was exceptional and made for a very difficult selection. We also saw the largest number of participants and entries ever, raising the stakes of an already highly competitive field.

One Lap of the Web: Exotic car dealerships, fake Ferraris and the Renault R5 Turbo

Wed, 24 Apr 2013

We spend a lot of time on the Internet -- pretty much whenever we're not driving, writing about or working on cars. Since there's more out there than we'd ever be able to cover, here's our daily digest of car stuff on the Web you may not otherwise have heard about. -- Meet the real-life Little Old Lady from Pasadena courtesy of YouTube as this "60-something" lady roasts the meats on her C63 AMG Benz.
