For Sale

I am offering a Bendix PS5C Pressure Carburetor, PN 25242990-1, Cessna L19.  It came with part of an L19 inventory and from what I was told, was for the L19 Birddog. The tag says it was overhauled at ARAMAC, the Army Aeronautical Depot Maintenance Center in Corpus Cristi, Texas which, in the 1940s, was where Navy Aviators were trained to fly Seaplanes and carrier based aircraft. There is not an overhaul date that I can see, nor has this Bendix PS5C carb been tested, but looks to be in great shape.

We offer a generous money back for any returns for any reason. In that the buyer can't do anything more than view a photo and ask a few questions, it's only right to offer that policy. Please don't hesitate to ask any questions or make us aware of any item we may have identified incorrectly.

In 1922, Ivan Gates organized The Gates Flying Circus.  It was considered the grand daddy of all flying air shows.  Made up of mostly WWI ex-military flyers, it captivated crowds with daredevil flight performances, wing walking and parachuting demonstrations.

My Grandfather began his aviation career barnstorming in a $250 war surplus Jenny and then later flying for the Gates Flying Circus. Orville Wright signed his license, license number 1000.  My father came along at a time my grandfather was buying surplus PT19s and Stearmans for a few hundred dollars.  My father continued the passion for flying and owned dozens of aircraft over the years.  My brother flew for Cole Palen's Old Rhinebeck Aerodrome.  In his last few days, my father's eyes twinkled when I brought some flying magazines to his bed side. In honor of my dad, I'm continuing our aviation heritage.

Airworthiness of items sold by this seller to be determined by Buyer and/or Buyer's Faa Approved Mechanic / Buyer's Faa Certified Repair Station.

Limited Edition Skoda Octavia vRS launched

Wed, 21 Jan 2009

Skoda has packaged up a limited edition of the Octavia vRS to tempt buyers to buy, and to be honest it’s not a bad deal. But then, nor is the regular vRS. The older you are, the harder it is to get over the ‘Skoda Skips’ of the past.

New BMW 5 Series Touring (2010-11) – It’s official +Video

Sun, 14 Mar 2010

The BMW 5 Series Touring 2010-2011 - launches in September in the UK After yesterday’s leak of photos of the 2011 BMW 5 Series Touring, we did say BMW would probably get their act together and do the official release this weekend. After all, there’s precious little point not doing so when the information is already roaming the Interweb. BMW obviously concur as we had a 5 Series Touring photo gallery, video and a pile of bumph drop in last night.

McLaren tease the New F1 (P12)

Wed, 05 Sep 2012

With a debut at the Paris Motor Show on 27th September, McLaren releases the first teaser photo of their new hypercar. We’ve been anticipating the reveal of the new McLaren F1 – the McLaren P12 – for some time, and expected it to appear at Pebble Beach last month. The new car at Pebble Beach turned out to be the McLaren X-1 (although McLaren did take an iPad presentation of the new F1 for the delectation of the privileged few) but now we know for certain that the new McLaren will get its public debut at the 2012 Paris Motor Show.
