2014 Dodge Dart Blacktop to debut at Detroit auto show

Tue, 07 Jan 2014

The 2014 Dodge Dart SXT will get the Blacktop treatment at the Detroit auto show next week. The company offered the same styling tweaks last year on the Journey, Durango and Grand Caravan.

The Blacktop trim adds 18-inch gloss black wheels, gloss black side mirrors, and a sportier interior to the small sedan, as well as a black split-crosshair grille, dark headlight bezels and a few other bits.

The upgraded trim package will only set you back $295. The same package is offered again for the Charger, Challenger, Avenger, Journey and Grand Caravan.

The Dart SXT Blacktop is based on the Rallye appearance group car, and works with the same 2.4-liter Tigershark motor making 184-hp and 174 lb-ft of torque.

The Blacktop won’t just be offered in black; customers can choose from Dodge’s versions of red, orange, blue, gray, silver and white.

The 2014 Dodge Dart SXT starts at $18,495, not including destination.
