Tue, 25 Jan 2011The current Porsche 911 isn’t dead yet – this is the run-out Black Edition special. Just 1911 examples will ever be built, and it’s loaded with extras to keep 911 sales ticking over until the all-new version is unveiled later this year. Unlike the Carrera GTS, which is the most focussed (and brilliant) 911 this side of a Porsche Motorsport product, the Black Edition is based on the entry level Carrera.
BMW and Pininfarina to show Gran Lusso Coupé concept at Villa d'Este
Wed, 15 May 2013BMW and Pininfarina have collaborated on a concept car – the Gran Lusso Coupé – for the 2013 Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este. Previewed in these teaser images, the gloriously glamorous-sounding Gran Lusso (lusso being Italian for ‘luxury') appears to fuse BMW iconography – the front fender vent, Hofmeister kink DLO and horizontal rear lamp treatment – with a little more Latin flair with a rocker that flicks up the rear lamp and joins the shoulder line. The full-width rear lamps also promise to be suitably exotic.

We’ve just had a reveal of the new Bentley Continental GT Speed – the fastest Bentley in production – and as we predicted Bentley have taken the new GT Speed to Goodwood this weekend. And there’s not a lot of point, when your new car is the fastest you make, having a pretty, static display.
