You are bidding on a Early Vintage Matched pair of Cal Custom # 40-1000 Valve Covers Gardena Calif. Made in the USA not Japan  - they are staggered bolt pattern 265-283 early 327- . The last time they were on a car was back in 1968, My 94 year old Grandfather started Drag racing in the late 1940's, They were on a 1957 Corvette he ran ,  I just pulled them off the shelf spent about a hour cleaning them for the pictures, There are no cracks or repairs that I see, the fins are not broken or ground for clearance, there are scratches & casting flaws, They could be re polished  I think they look great as is . As with all vintage parts I sell they are sold as is Thanks for bidding.

Interior Motives returned once more to the exciting city of Shanghai for its second China design conference, themed ‘China: Changing the landscape of car design'. Held straight after the first Shanghai auto show press day - a day topped off by the Car Design Night, attended by some 300 or so designers - this two-day event saw 27 of the world's foremost car design experts and nearly 250 delegates gather together to debate the future of Chinese car design. Session 1 - Harnessing design awareness Tony Williams, UK design director of China's biggest carmaker, SAIC, kicked off the session by explaining how trend research was finding more savvy and confident Chinese consumers who want their character reflected in the products they buy and "cars they want rather than just need".

2014 Ford Fiesta gets three-cylinder EcoBoost power

Ford confirmed Monday its three-cylinder 1.0-liter EcoBoost engine will arrive next year in the 2014 Ford Fiesta. The unit is expected to achieve an output of about 123 hp and 148 lb-ft of torque. The Blue Oval says the engine has a higher specific output than any engine in its stable.

It was only a matter of time before Mini and Rolls-Royce - the two most disparate points of the BMW group - joined forces on some special editions. And so it is that Mini will show the Mini Inspired By Goodwood at the 2011 Shanghai auto show. Just 1000 Minis Inspired By Goodwood will be built (in Oxford, not Goodwood), with worldwide sales starting in spring 2012.
