This is a used Carter AFB four barrel carburetor.  It fits a 1964 Pontiac 389.  It is missing a 170-478 choke cover.  Everything else looks complete.  The throttle shafts move freely.  The carburetor number is 3649S.

I am selling this item as is.  It must be rebuilt before installing.  It must be paid for within 7 days.  Thanks for looking and good luck on bidding.....

Italdesign Giugiaro releases ‘Timeline’ app

Italdesign Giugiaro has released a new app called the "Giugiaro Timeline", spanning the company's illustrious design history. Available for the iPhone 3G, the iPhone 4 and the iPod Touch (sorry Android and Blackberry users) the app enables design enthusiasts to check out some of the products the company has been responsible for since its inception in 1968 (the year the Bizzarrini Manta made its debut at the Turin motor show). Implemented by the Italian web agency Easybit, the Giugiaro Timeline for the iPhone and the iPod Touch offers the same features as the iPad version.

Fuel-tank probe rekindles old issue

The placement of fuel tanks on passenger vehicles has changed over the past three decades, and for good reason. Automakers gradually have repositioned the tank to an area in front of the rear axle, generally below the rear passenger seat. Statistically speaking, the tank in that location is less vulnerable in a high-speed, rear-end crash than in the previous location--between the rear bumper and axle.
