They are constructed from highly durable, heavy-duty ProtekX Extreme fabric with PU backing made for extreme weather and abrasion resistance. These covers include a fuel tank access door, making fueling easy and fast without removing the cover. Also included are an integrated trailering system with built-in adjustable straps and tension panels and hood liners made from non-scratch material. Toyota recalls 550,000 vehicles for steering issue
Wed, 09 Nov 2011Toyota has recalled 550,000 vehicles around the globe for a potential defect that could impact steering capabilities. The fix involves a replacement for the crankshaft pulley on V6 engines. Toyota said if the problem isn’t corrected, the belt for the power steering could become detached from the pulley, making it tough to steer.

While there are some interesting examples cited in the piece, the concluding article, ‘Why Getting It Wrong Is the Future of Design' by the former creative director of Wired magazine, Scott Dadich, feels like it has particular resonance for car design. Dadich's Wrong Theory uses disruptive examples from the world of art, plus his own experience of working at Wired, to explain how design goes through phases: establishing a direction, creating a set of rules that define that direction and finally someone who dares to break from that direction.
