Ford recalls minivans, SUV

Ford is recalling nearly half a million vehicles to fix defects that can cause fires or loss of power. About 205,800 copies of the Ford Freestar and Mercury Monterey minivan from the 2004 and 2005 model years are being recalled, because torque-converter output shafts in the transaxle might fail and cause power loss. Ford is also recalling 244,530 Escape SUVs from the 2001 and 2002 model years, which might have brake-fluid leaks that can cause corrosion and fire.

As you can’t have failed to notice, the 2012 Mercedes B Class arrived at this years Frankfurt Motor Show, complete with a raft of detail and even more photos and video. Peugeot are teasing what appears to be the Peugeot Onyx Concept on their Facebook page, a hybrid supercar heading for the Paris Motor Show. We already know that production versions of the Peugeot 208 GTi and Peugeot XY luxury 208 are heading for the Paris Motor Show, but it appears Peugeot will have something a bit more dramatic on offer. Peugeot has revealed a teaser photo of a new concept car for Paris on their Facebook page this afternoon, and a bit of digging around French motoring web site turns up more detail.
