This is a glove box lock from what I believe to be a 1966/1967 Nova. I say I believe as it was in a box of parts that my friend gave me when he moved. His lifelong project was a 1966 Nova.My friend and his family only drove Chevrolets. So, I am pretty confident it was from a Nova. The car was eventually finished. But, he had a lot of left over parts. The main body of the cylinder measures 1" in diameter. The cylinder measures 1" deep. The face of the cylinder measure 1 1 /8" in diameter. The lock contains the mounting clamp. It is still clamped to a piece of a glove box. I do not have a key. If you are missing a lock cylinder this is a no brainer. Ask any questions if you have a need for this part. Flat rate shipping applies to USA only. Please note that I will not ship international. Thank you for looking and keep those American classics running !

Studiotorino unveils Porsche Cayman-based Moncenisio

Tue, 25 Mar 2014

Studiotorino is an Italian coachbuilder, based in the city that its name suggests -- on the banks of the Po River, deep in the heart of Turin. It came to prominence thanks to a smattering of projects: a buttressed, fastback Mercedes-Benz SL, a Fiat 500 named after beloved Italian pulp hero Diabolik and a Maserati Quattroporte wagon that they appropriately renamed "Cinqueporte." But Studiotorino is also infatuated with the Porsche Cayman. To that end, the firm has introduced the Moncenisio, a Rhapsody in Blue rebody of the Typ 981 that aims to do for German sports cars what Figoni et Falaschi did for the Delahaye and what Porcubimmer Motors did for a BMW 3-Series.

Thirteen mid-sized cars have earned high marks on the insurance industry's newest frontal-crash test, but a pair of Toyota models tested fared worse than the rest. The so-called small overlap test involves crashing the front corner of a car into a barrier at 40 mph. The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety devised the test to simulate a collision with a stationary object such as a tree or a utility pole.
