One good used original GM dealer lamp harness accessory.  This lights up your ash tray and the opening for your cigar lighter whenever the dash lamps are turned on.

This was a small add-on kit that the dealership used to sell.  It was made by GM for Pontiac A body cars.  This was also factory installed on some cars if you ordered it.

This is for a Lemans, Tempest or GTO series car.

  Very easy to install.

Tested and working has #1445 light bulbs installed, one each, inside the metal "domes."

This came off of a 1966 GTO years ago, one wire was cut and I repaired it.

I tested the lights today and they both work.

This style plug end was used to connect to the gray dash light wire on both '66 and '67, it may also fit & work on 64 and 65 GTO or Lemans cars.

EM any questions.

Thu, 07 Jul 2011

Where will you be Sunday lunchtime? Anyone who's even remotely interested in Formula One will be in front of the TV getting psyched up as 12 F1 teams take to the world’s fastest circuit.  Yes, 15 weeks in and 22 of the finest F1 drivers will be lining the grid, thinking about how they will tackle Abbey, the first right-hand corner, the fastest corner on the track where the drivers experience a peak G-force of 4.8g and over 4g for 1.3 seconds! At which point the car is experiencing two and a half times its weight in downforce through the corner.

2015 Ford F-150 work to cost more at body shop

Tue, 21 Jan 2014

The 2015 Ford F-150 pickup that debuted at the Detroit auto show came in weighing about 700 pounds less than its predecessor. That means improved performance and better fuel economy, so that’s a win-win, right? Well, less than 10 percent of independent repair shops are certified, meet training requirements and have the equipment to work with aluminum body parts, according to Darrell Amberson, chairman of the Automotive Service Association.

Tesla pays off its government loans

Thu, 23 May 2013

Tesla paid off the last of its $465 million government loans May 22, nine years ahead of schedule, thus outperforming most U.S. college graduates and the vast majority of American homeowners. Tesla used funds from a stock offering to finish the loan with a whopping bank transfer of $451.8 million Wednesday, pointing out that it was “…the only American car company to have fully repaid the government.” Apparently no one at Tesla was even born when Lee Iacocca paid off Chrysler's $1.2-billion government bailout ahead of schedule back in 1983.
