SMALL BLOCK CHEVY MOTOR MOUNTS - LS (PAIR) NEW WITH POLY BUSHINGS Here we have a pair of motor mounts for the Chevy LS motors. A couple of the LS motors only have 4 mounting holes but most have 5 so we made them for 5, if yours is a 4 hole model just cut them off. These are made entirely of .25" plate steel. The tube capture location is not set in stone so you can move it around before you weld it to the plate. We do that because with all the LS engines going into all the different chassis and all headers will have their own clearance issues. Better Place Electric Car visitor centre opens
Tue, 09 Feb 2010Better Place have opened a visitor centre in Israel to demonstrate their battery swap technology for electric cars Last October we wrote about a start-up company in Israel – Better Place – that had a new way forward for electric cars by taking the purchase of battery packs out of the equation, and was developing a system for ‘Battery Swap’ stations where electric car owners could drive in and swap their battery pack for a fully-charged one in a few minutes. That story first brought to our attention our favourite quote of last year – by Nissan boss Carlos Ghosn – who said “A hybrid is like a mermaid: if you want a fish, you get a woman; if you want a woman, you get a fish.” Which probably explained why Nissan – and its partner Renault – got involved with Better Place. Better Place aims to address the main concerns of electric car drivers by making the battery packs in electric cars ‘swappable’.

The car's nose is very similar to the Takeri concept of 2011, continuing the new Mazda family face first seen in production trim on the new Mazda CX-5 crossover. The new 2012 Mazda 6: all the details Like the CX-5, the new Mazda 6 will benefit from Mazda's 'SkyActiv' technology. SkyActiv brings a lightweight modular architecture and a range of cleaner petrol and diesel engines – which Mazda claims are nearly as frugal as hybrids without a bulky EV battery in sight.
