This is our first glimpse of the new, Mugen-tweaked Honda CR-Z. Developed by Mugen Euro, the UK-based arm of Honda’s long-standing tuning partner Mugen, this CR-Z features a whole raft of tweaks to turn it into a hot hybrid. As with the previous UK-spec Civic Type R Mugen, this new Mugen model is currently being touted as a one-off prototype, but just as that Civic was then built in limited numbers the same may happen with the CR-Z – and the individual parts may become available as aftermarket accessories too.

Mazda6 estate world premiere slated for Paris

Mazda is set to debut its all-new Mazda6 estate at the Paris motor show following the reveal of the saloon last week in Moscow. The Mazda6, which is the flagship model for the new generation of the automaker's product line, is the second creation – following the Mazda CX-5 compact SUV – to feature the new 'KODO – Soul of Motion' design language.

Autodesk Alias Scan Surfacing webinar takes place on 8 October

Autodesk has announced its latest webinar, which looks at the firm's Alias Scan Surfacing and Quick Surfacing software. The 45-minute webinar will take place on 8 October, and begins at 8am PDT in Los Angeles and 11am EDT in Detroit, which is 16:00 GMT in London and 17:00 CET in Munich. A 15-minute Q&A will follow the presentation.
