This Digital Dash comes complete with direct fit printed circuit board, custom fit "smoked" Plexiglas face plate, universal temperature sending unit, and speedometer sending unit (sender/sensor) for trucks without electronic transmission or cruise control, and instructions for installation. The Digital Dash works with your factory fuel level sending unit and cruise control sender or electronic transmission output if so equipped. Asked to research and visualize future market sectors and the needs, aspirations and desires of potential users; VW's brief to the students was to create a vehicle which had an innovative, integrated interior to reflect the research the students conducted, in a space that had equal value both in the daytime and at night. The brief also called for new space concepts for the person/machine interface through new functions and new packaging of components.

This move now brings the total number of trim levels available on the LaCrosse to seven. The Chinese-market LaCrosse is a locally produced sedan that is visually identical to the American model on the outside.
