K40 RL360i Black Radar Detection System - RL360IBMM

The customizable RL360i is the world's first radar detection system with both front and rear radar receivers, providing directional awareness to police radar threats.

The RL360i can be customized to every vehicle, and up to four Laser Defuser g5s can be added for protection from police laser threats.

Features:

  • Directional Awareness -- The RL360i gives the driver increased detection range with front-focused and rear-focused radar receivers. This dual receiver configuration allows for front and rear directional awareness to police radar threats through voice alerts and two LEDs (the left is for front radar signals, and the right is for rear).
  • Discreet & Custom Installation -- Installed by master technicians, the RL360i retains the appearance of the vehicle's interior by using only two alert LEDs in the instrument cluster and an easy-to-conceal remote (see photo above). The remote controls everything from the brightness of the alert LEDs to the system's mute settings and GPS features.
  • K-Band Filter --Rejects alerts from vehicles on the road equipped with radar-based safety features, such as adaptive cruise control and blind spot assist, which allows you to concentrate on the real threats.
  • Black Remote Control --A redesigned, all-black remote control.
  • GPS Features: The RL360i offers drivers 17 customizable settings, including GPS features such as:
    • Mark to Mute -- Silence non-police radar/laser alerts when within a specific GPS location by pressing the Mark to Mute button. No more annoying "false" alerts from automatic doors and security systems.
    • Quiet Ride -- The K40 RL360i allows the driver to set a minimum detection speed that eliminates all audible alerts until the vehicle exceeds that selected speed. You decide when you want to hear an alert. With Quiet Ride, there are no more constant, annoying alerts when traveling in areas with a high concentration of non-police radar sources.
    • Mark to Alert -- The RL360i allows the driver to build their own database of locations that are important to them. Mark to Alert for locations such as dangerous intersections, speed traps, school zones, and red light cameras.
    • Speed Monitor -- This feature gives the driver a constant audible alert whenever a preselected speed is exceeded. The interior LEDs will also illuminate. Great for young/new drivers or those with accidental lead foot. Self-control. Parental control.

Level/Mode

Sensitivity

Recommended Use

1.Highway (factory default setting)

Detects all types of North American approved police radar at maximum range and sensitivity

For highway travel or in any area in which you are unfamiliar with the types of radar used.

2. City

The X-Band sensitivity is reduced. This is because it is the most common source of non-police radar signals. K, Ka, and Laser remain at full sensivity.

When traveling in an urban area with minimal non-police radar signals.

3. Filter

X-Band detection is eliminated completely. K and Ka-Band sensitivity are reduced by 50%.

Use this mode when traveling in congested traffic areas with a high concentration of non-police radar signals.

Additional System Features:

  • Handheld Remote Control - Visor clip or dash mounting options
  • Voice Type - Female or Male
  • Alert Type - Voice or Tones
  • Distinct Tones for all Bands - X, K, Superwide Ka, and Laser alerts (when optional Laser Defuser g5 is incorporated)
  • Fully Independent Customization - Each radar receiver can be independently customized for band awareness and alerts
  • Start-Up Sequence - Audible and visual sequence at start-up
  • Abbreviated Test - Optional abbreviated start up sequence
  • Display Type - Single/Dual blue LEDs or warning pods custom-integrated into driver's cockpit view
  • Signal Strength Indicators - Audible Geiger strength indications

MG3: Shanghai Motor Show

Sat, 20 Apr 2013

The MG3 SuperMini for Europe is a titivated version of the MG3 the Chinese market gets, complete with a decent dose of flair and additional equipment and cosmetic enhancements to make it more appealing to Western tastes. That means hockey stick shaped LED running lights across the range, black A-pillars, mesh grill (well, mesh slit at the front), dual colour side skirts, dual colour alloys and a rear valance MG say was inspired by generations of MG sports cars. Although only 4 metres long, MG say the MG3 offer space inside that matches or beats all competition (room for  four six-footers they reckon) and gets a ‘rolled and raised’ dash that accentuates the space on offer and sculpted backs to the front seats to help space in the rear.

Ssangyong C200 Hybrid shows at Seoul

Fri, 03 Apr 2009

The Ssangyong C200 Hybrid shows at Seoul Ssangyongs have always been pretty dated lumps. Cheap, true, but not a great deal to recommend them beyond that. But the C200 is a different kettle of fish.

MINI miffed at Spy Photos of 2014 MINI Hatch

Thu, 04 Jul 2013

MINI has released their own ‘Spy’ shot of the 2014 MINI hatch (pictured above) The rise and rise of the internet in recent years has seen the once niche market for spy photos of unreleased cars go mainstream, and whether car makers like it or not they can be sure the moment they take their new pride and joy on the road it will be papped and online. Most unrevealed cars go out testing covered in swirly camouflage and padded add-ons to disguise shape and form, but this week a 2014 MINI hatch was snapped with no disguise at all, and it didn’t look great. It didn’t look great because the photo was taken from such a distance it distorted perspective and made the new MINI look a very odd shape.
