KCA Kable 8 Gauge Complete Amp Install Kit

KnuKonceptz KCA amp installation kit features our over sized Copper Clad Aluminum (CCA) The KCA Kable uses the same ultra flex PVC found in the Kolossus Flex Kable and uses the same of 12.61mm^2 of Copper Clad Aluminim (CCA) as previous models. Copper Clad Aluminum (CCA) is made up of 90% Aluminum and 10% Copper. CCA overall provides a cost effective solution to most audio systems. Assembled from stranded 34 gauge CCA, the KCA Kable is equal in size to the Kolossus Flex Kable, but is designed for lighter current loads and not lightening your wallet.

The In line AGU fuse holder does not come installed within the cable, this allows the installer to place the inline fuse holder in an optimum location during installation. It also allows the installer to extend the power wire 1-3' by using the inline fuse holder to add cable to the main run (leaving the 18' as one unit and using the fuse holder to "splice" a few feet of wire)

The KCA-K8-R is a complete kit, meaning no additional parts are required to complete your installation.

Our 8 Gauge is larger then the cheap 4 Gauge kits found on ebay! Beware of merchants that are selling miss labeled wire!

Product FAQ

How many watts can this amp kit handle?

At KnuKonceptz, we do not use "watts" to rate our amp kits. This is a very inaccurate method to determine what the proper gauge wire required for your amp installation. There are many amp manufactures and not all of them represent the output of their product accurately. Please refer to your amplifier's fuse rating, this is a number a manufacture can not fake, well they could but it would put their product in harms way! Add up the fuses on the end of your amp (two 20A fuses = 40A total draw) If this number is under 50A, this kit will fit your application. If over 50A, a larger gauge wire would be required or use our Kolossus Flex 8 gauge amp installation kit

What is the small 18 gauge wire built into the RCA cable for?

This is the remote turn on lead for your amplifier. One end is connected to either the power antenna lead or Amp turn-on lead of your headunit's wiring harness. While the other end connects to the amplifier's turn-on connector (REM)

Can I alter this kit in any way before purchasing?

Our amp kits are made in large batches to reduce cost, which is passed onto you. We can not alter them in any way. Should you need to make alterations, you would have to purchase the items individually from our shopping cart.

What do we mean by "Oversized"? Above on the left is Stinger PRO 1666 strand 4 Gauge (Black) and our KLMX 4 Gauge (silver pearl) - pretty substantial difference in the two cables......Ask other sellers for cross sectional images of their cable...they wont reply....

Electric car advocacy group Plug In America spent an hour this week on the Internet telling 91 true believers how to spread the message of the kilowatt to those who still believed internal combustion was the only way to go. “People need to be convinced that they will like a plug-in vehicles,” said Plug In America board member Chad Schwitters online.

Porsche 911 GT3 R Hybrid race car revealed

Porsche will bring its latest hybrid know-how to the racetrack in the form of the new 911 GT3 R Hybrid, revealed here for the first time prior to a planned public premiere at the Geneva auto show in early March. Developed by a team of engineers at Porsche's Weissach R&D center, Porsche plans for the stripped-out race car to act as a rolling laboratory. The German carmaker wants to explore the potential of hybrid drivetrains in a racing environment before an expected announcement that it will return to the 24 Hours of Le Mans in a factory capacity, perhaps in 2012, with a race car boasting technology based on that used in the 911 GT3 R Hybrid.

Well, perhaps not every model so far, but we have had a range of Audi e-trons from the A1 e-tron to the R8 e-tron. Now we get something inbetween – the Audi A3 e-tron.
