You are buying a CD containing the assembly manual for the Lazair Series III Ultralight Aircraft. Very popular during the 1980s, there are still quite a large number of these craft still in operation. The design was quite advanced for its day and quite an education, even if you never build one!

Here's what is on the CD

  1. Series III Assembly Manual
  2. Castering Tailwheel Kit Installation Manual (*)
  3. Jury Strut Kit Installation Manual (*)
  4. Series III Operating Manual (*)

(*) Extra Item Included on This CD !!

You may have seen similar CDs elsewhere, perhaps even on eBay, but if you look at the four items in the preceeding list, you are getting 3 more manuals than you'd be getting anywhere else - and at no extra charge!!

To use this material you will need a PDF file reader (Acrobat Reader, or the equivalent). Readers are availble on the internet for free downloading and use. The correct reader will allow use on machines running Windows, MacOS, or Linux. While there is no known reason that the material on this CD will not be usable my all those operating systems, because of the great disparity of hardware "out there" it is absolutely impossible to guarantee cross-platform compatibility.

Video: Rendering a Le Mans racer using layer masks and pixel locking in Photoshop

Mon, 23 Jun 2014

Local Motors' designer and community manager Aurel Francois has made this short video explaining how he created his 'Alpine A444' render for the Le Mans Themed Sketchwall Challenge. His side view may be simple in terms of perspective but by using layer masks and pixel locking in Photoshop, the blue race car soon comes to life. Worth a watch of you're looking to get to grips with computer rendering techniques.

Nissan Driver Assist – be Michael Schumacher

Sun, 26 Jul 2009

Nissan have developed 'Driver Assist' to make crashes a things of the past Driver Assist uses GPS to track the car’s progress, and set it up in advance on twists and turns in the road. The system uses integral sensors to check how the driver is setting the car up for the corner and adjusts the settings if the driver is not getting it right. It can correct over or under steer by applying braking to any of the wheels individually and even adjust the torque to make sure the car goes where the driver intends.
