Lexus NX compact SUV production starts – first UK deliveries October 2014

Sat, 09 Aug 2014

The first Lexus NX rolls off the production line We’re not entirely sure the new Lexus NX – revealed in production guise at the Beijing Motor Show in April - will be one of the most driver-focused compact SUVs, but it is a car that should see Lexus sales rise considerably. And the NX is now starting to roll off the production line at Lexus’s Miyata plant in Japan, and Lexus say they already have 6,500 orders for the NX in Japan, and a more modest 350 in the UK. Snapped by Autoweek reader Jon McCrary in Traverse City, Mich., the pictures show the upcoming 2013 MKZ next to a current-generation MKZ. The contrast is striking.

New Bentley Continental GT2 to get 650bhp & RWD – the end of Supersports?

Tue, 04 Oct 2011

New Bentley Continental GT2 planned Bentley has revealed to Auto Express that now its got the regular versions of the Continental out of the way – the 2011 Continental GT and the 2012 Continental GTC – they’re going to head down the halo route for the new Conti and produce the Bentley Continental GT2. The GT2 seems destined to occupy the space the Continental Supersports did in the previous generation Continental. It is said to be getting a bit if weight relief going on – around 200kg – and will come equipped with up to 650-bhp – that’s 30bhp more than the current Supersports.
