Mon, 16 Apr 2012

Dacia Duster for just £100 deposit Dacia’s aggressive marketing for the launch of the Duster and Sandero continues with pre-orders needing just £100 deposit. At the beginning of April Dacia told us that they would be offering ‘Shockingly Affordable’ prices in the UK when the Dacia Brand – Renault’s budget offering – arrives in showrooms. Now we’re at ’75 Days to Launch’ according to Dacia (although that’s just the point when Dacia reveals prices for the Duster and Sandero – cars won’t arrive until January 2013) they’ve announced that you can pre-order a new Dacia with just £100 deposit.

Alarming number of drivers lack road sign knowledge

Thu, 08 May 2014

A THIRD OF DRIVERS in the UK do not know even the most basic road signs such as the National Speed Limit and Slippery Road warnings. This is the finding of a survey by More Than, which found that 34% of drivers in the UK did not know what the National Speed Limit sign was. The Slippery Road sign was misunderstood by one in seven drivers as meaning ‘paint on the road.’ With research conducted alongside 29 police forces, the survey found 20% of UK drivers had received penalty points for speeding in the past 10 years.

More than four million UK drivers aged 70 or over

Tue, 01 Oct 2013

The number of older people with driving licences has exceeded the four million mark for the first time, reveals a report by the RAC Foundation. Data shows that there are a record 4,018,900 men and women aged 70 or over who hold a valid full British licence, with the motoring research charity predicting that number is set to rise even further. IAM: more old drivers than ever not bad news It isn’t older drivers we should fear – it’s the young This prediction is backed by the government, which has said that of the UK citizens alive today, around 10 million will reach their 100th birthday.
