Carlisle, Iowa, United States
Looks unused or NOS but don't know history. In original tubular box.
Manufacturer Part Number:2444 Warranty:No Brand:McQuay-Norris Country/Region of Manufacture:United States UPC:Does not apply

Don't know what this pair of vintage McQuay-Norris Motor Bearings is for but part no. appears to be 2444. Looks to be NOS in original round cardboard tube type container. A couple dings or gouges at the top edge of lid but overall box in very good condition. Inside are two half circle cylinders with carboard separators between them and a little instruction sheet for Chevrolet Bearings saying that the bearings are best used without shims. I don't know what type, year, or model of Chevy vehicle these would be for so know you application needs and part nos. I assume that when the box says a pair of bearings that it means only the 2 pieces inside. They are not quite identical. One has a pair of holes in the sleeve and the other doesn't. Both have a little knob or protrusion at top of the outside and have diagonal grooves on inside. Outsides have lost some of their shininess to what appears to be original silver type finish, probably from storage contact with the cardboard. Insides are still shiny. If it took two sets of these slightly different half sleeves to make a pair then I am missing a bearing, so let me know if this is a complete pair or not and I will revise my listing. I am guessing this is complete as I don't know that two more of these pieces could fit in the carton.

TERMS OF SALE - PLEASE READ ALL CAREFULLY- It is all important and will save problems later.

No Reserve

Method of Payment: Paypal

Shipping (for continental U.S):$ 7.00 - Buyer pays all shipping costs. NOTICE TO INTERNATIONAL BIDDERS: We do ship internationally but the cost can be considerably more and will be figured at conclusion of sale based on destination, weight, and method of shipping. It has also become necessary for me to include the following instructions to all overseas buyers. Every international shipment must go by air mail and over 4 lbs will have to go Global priority. That will greatly impact heavier items that don't have a high value. You will end up paying many times more for the shipping than the item in some cases. Please be aware of this possibility and make sure you have all shipping questions answered well before the end of the auction or you might be in for a considerable shock. I am aware that the high shipping rates may keep international buyers from bidding on some items, but don't want you to be unaware of the situation. The shipping cost shown in the listing is for U.S. shipping addresses only. Your specific countries' import duties, taxes, and customs charges are not included in the item price and are the buyer's responsibility. Please check with your country's customs office to determine what these additional costs will be prior to bidding or buying. I will not violate laws by under-valuing merchandise or marking the item as a gift on customs forms and the actual winning bid price is what will be declared as the value. PLEASE DO NOT ASK ME TO DO ANYTHING OTHER THAN THAT as I will not be able to comply. Thank you.

ATTENTION: PLEASE READ. Some last important instructions. -- Please do not request that we stop an auction or remove an item from an auction once it has started. The only reason I will ever stop an auction early is if I feel it is necessary for reasons such as if I made a serious mistake in the listing, or during the course of auction lost or damaged the item, etc. I do not stop auctions early at bidders request for the purpose of selling the item before the end of auction. It is against Ebay policy, plus not fair to other potential bidders, and I will not consider request to sell an item early for any reason. I also will not switch to a Buy it Now option on an item if it is not listed with that as an option, so please do not ask me if I would consider doing so. I am very happy to email for purpose of answering questions about the item for sale and giving more details if necessary, but I will very likely NOT reply to any email requests to do any of the above mentioned requests. Thank you for your consideration in this matter.

Thank you for reading and agreeing to all the terms of Ebay auctions and feel free to email me if you still have any questions about the item or terms and conditions. Thank you for looking at this item and we look forward to being of service to you.

Concept Car of the Week: Porsche Tapiro (1970)

Fri, 11 Jan 2013

By the late 1960s it was time for Porsche to create a new car that would replace its ageing entry-level model, the 912. Its sister company Volkswagen also needed a sports coupe to replace the Karmann Ghia and so the two brands joined together to develop what would become the Porsche 914. These days the 914 holds something of a ‘cool factor', generally considered as the ‘black sheep' in Porsche history.

New BMW voice control system

Mon, 08 Jun 2009

BMW are fitting a new voice control system to their cars from September Hopefully this will work. My own experience of voice control systems is not great – I usually end up doing it manually through the interface. But with BMW’s pretty complicated iDrive system it will be a big plus, and safer, to speak your commands.
