Fiat chief tours Chrysler headquarters

Fiat S.p.A. CEO Sergio Marchionne and a team of Fiat senior executives visited Chrysler LLC headquarters in Auburn Hills, Mich., on Saturday morning, according to a letter to Chrysler employees from CEO Bob Nardelli. The Fiat team visited a display of vehicles in Chrysler's design dome and met with Nardelli; Tom LaSorda, co-president; Frank Klegon, executive vice president of product development; Frank Ewasyshyn, executive vice president of manufacturing, and other executives.

Our long-term XJ joins last week's review car - the XF S We moaned about the tease that was the introduction to the new Jaguar XJ, but we dutifully went off to the press launch at the Saatchi Gallery in July 2009 and declared the design a triumph. We looked forward to the promised press cars by Christmas 2009, but they never happened as Jaguar worked to make the new XJ as bullet-proof as a car can be. But by the end of May 2010 the first press cars started to arrive and the first customer cars escaped in to the wild.

Bugatti Veyron Super Sport speed record cancelled by Guinness

The title of the world’s fastest car held by the Bugatti Veyron Super Sport has been removed from the Guinness World Records. But, nearly three years on from when the Veyron Super Sport achieved its world record run of 267.81mph, Guinness World Records have decided that it’s invalid. It seems the heirs to the McWhirter twins have discovered the Veyron Super Sport Bugatti used for their record setting run wasn’t a standard production car, but that Bugatti had removed its speed limiter.
