RRP2EX Aviation Intercom

The RRP2EX 2-person aviation intercom offers simple and affordable communication between pilot, co-pilot, or passengers.

With the ability to listen to music, adjust volume, and squelch, you can dial in your audio experience for the most enjoyable flight ever.

Operates on (2) 9V Batteries (not included). Should you ever be lacking a battery, the RRP2EX also operates off the included cigarette power adaptor, so you'll never be without power for transmission.

The record in/out port allows you to connect a digital recorder so you can record your audio — a great tool for instructors and students.

The 'Pilot Isolate' feature allows the pilot to isolate all conversation to just the pilot and ATC for clear and uninterrupted conversation.

Also included is Rugged's #CSMUSIC stereo music cord to connect an iPod, iPhone, or other standard MP3 player with a 3.5mm jack for audio enjoyment.

The design of the RRP2EX offers Pilot-Only 'Transmission Protection', meaning if there's ever an in-flight power-loss, the RRP2EX will still transmit - even without power.

Features include:

  • Record in/out
  • Music input jack
  • Isolation/All switch
  • Push-to-Talk (PTT)
  • Volume control
  • Squelch
  • Optional expansion pack available allowing you to connect up to (4) people

Intercom Package includes:

  • RRP2EX Intercom
  • Cigarette power adapter
  • CSMUSIC 3.5mm stereo music cable

Like it or not, autonomous cars are here -- almost

Fri, 03 May 2013

One of the odder things about living in "the future" is that things develop so gradually, hardly any of the really amazing things we're exposed to every day seem amazing or futuristic. If the iPhone had just appeared from nowhere in 2007, there would have been riots, demonstrations and legislation. But since we had a Blackberry first, and dedicated cellphones before that, the iPhone and its progeny were never quite shocking.

Vauxhall VXR8 & SMART for-two CDI take MPG Marathon honours

Mon, 10 Oct 2011

Vauxhall VXR8 & SMART for-two CDI take MPG Marathon honours On the face of it, it’s reasonable to expect a car as small as the SMART for-two CDI to be capable of astonishing economy if driven in a certain way. And the ALD Automotive / Shell FuelSave MPG Marathon, run last week near Cirencester, proved exactly that, with a SMART driven by Mick Linford and co-driver Ella Flynn managing to use less than four gallons of diesel to cover the 370 mile route. That means the SMART fortwo CDI averaged 99.24mpg on the route on real roads, an improvement of 16 per cent on the official combined figure of 85.6.

Mercedes CLA & GLA will sell 60,000 a year in the USA

Mon, 07 Oct 2013

Mercedes are aiming to sell 30k CLAs in the US every year It’s not all that long since the only Mercedes car US car buyers actually took seriously was the Mercedes S-Class. But times have changed and the rise in fuel prices and the collapse of the US car market has seen US car buyers looking at more ‘compact’ cars as appealing buys. Which explains why smaller cars have suddenly become an appealing ‘must have’ for car makers selling in the US, even ‘premium’ car makers.
