Toyota Makes Engineering Child’s Play

JAPANESE car maker Toyota is putting the fun into engineering, with its unusual Cammatte. Its role is to help inspire the drivers of the future and show them how car design and engineering can be rewarding and fun. Making a return to the International Tokyo Toy Show for the third year running, a new Sport version of the Cammatte is on display in the Toyota Design Lab.

Jaguar F-Type with Black Pack is Firesand Orange: LA Auto Show

The Jaguar F-Type has had its North American debut at the Los Angles Auto Show complete with Black Pack and Design Pack and Firesand paintwork. But rather than roll out the standard models we’ve seen so far – the V6, V6 S and V8 S – Jaguar decided it ought to gild the lily a bit by rolling out an F-Type with a chunk of options bolted in so the Americans could see just how they could customise their own F-Type. It’s 20 years this week since the iconic McLaren F1 made its debut at The Sporting Club in Monte Carlo. There were many reasons why we thought McLaren would preview the new F1 to a select audience at last week’s Monaco Grand Prix, not least of which was that it’s 20 years since the first McLaren F1 was revealed to a select audience in the Principality.
