Banks Power joins Mike Ryan Motorsports for Pikes Peak run

Gale Banks is heading back to the Pike’s Peak International Hill Climb on June 30. Banks has partnered with Mike Ryan Motorsports and his Freightliner Cascadia Class 8 semitruck racer. Semis race in the Pikes Peak Open class, which is reserved for cars and trucks that look stock from the outside but retain little of the original design.

GM's Lutz to retire May 1

General Motors Vice Chairman Bob Lutz plans to retire from the automaker effective May 1, according to a statement released by GM on Wednesday. Lutz, 78, had been serving as a senior adviser to GM Chairman and CEO Ed Whitacre after shelving retirement plans to take charge of the automaker's marketing after it emerged from bankruptcy in July 2009.
