Up for bid is a rare and vintage Safco 12VDC Hand Held Spotlight with cigarette lighter power plug in great physical and working condition (see PIC). The rubber spotlight body measures 8 1/2" long, is 5" wide with a 4" diameter GE 12VDC bulb (tested and working) and has a 11' cord with the original red Safco 12VDC cigarette lighter plug (see PICs). This made in the USA product is used and does show some very light signs of use, wear and age (see PICs). This treasure was discovered at an estate sale in southern California where many vintage automotive items from the 1930s through 1970s were offered. This spotlight is being listed based on information I received from the seller and my Internet research. Please feel free to ask any questions or request more detailed PICs or measurements. Mercedes confirms electric AMG SLS

By Richard Webber First Official Pictures 17 July 2009 09:46 Mercedes’ new AMG SLS – the gullwinged  GT supercar due to appear at the 2009 Frankfurt motor show – is going electric as engineers develop an emissions-free battery powered SLS as an alternative to the 563bhp V8. The eco SLS will have an electric motor powering each wheel, producing a total of 526bhp. Needless to say, for now it remains an engineering prototype – but a spokeswoman told CAR that Mercedes was intent on putting it into production.

This is Volkswagen’s New Compact Coupé (or NCC for short), a new coupé concept car just unveiled at the 2010 Detroit Auto Show. And although it’s just a show car for now, this gorgeous A5-alike two-door is expected to go into production within the next two years. Under the bonnet is a 148bhp/177lb ft direct-injection and turbocharged 1.4-litre TSI engine, which drives the front wheels via a seven-speed DSG gearbox.
