Condition:New other (see details)

Motorboat throttle control from 1960s. Bronze, brass, chromed brass. Indexed quadrant with 1/4-20 female threads - you must make an adapter (simple piece of brass) to accommodate modern 1/4-28 Morse-type '33C' cables, but other than that it's entirely usable for any small powerboat. Would look exceptionally good on an old Lyman, Chris Craft, Elco houseboat, any boat with a wooden dashboard in which to mount the throttle. Very rare, very desirable. Beautiful, never-installed, essentially new from leftover Sea Scamp inventory. No mounting hardware (use chromed, SS, or bronze screws).

I hate to part with this but I'm no longer building the boat I'd have used it on. This part is essentially irreplaceable - you won't find one in as-new condition anywhere!  I am in the boating trade and priced this reasonably based on what I know of antique and new-old-stock parts, of which I have many more. Please put this lovely old part to good use!

Lexus LFA says goodbye on video

Mon, 03 Jun 2013

The Lexus LFA says goodbye in a tribute video The very last Lexus LFA was produced in December 2012, and the last LFA destined for Europe in March 2013, so now, with the LFA consigned to the annuls of Toyota’s car history, Lexus has decided they should pay tribute to their very special supercar. It took a decade to get the LFA from initial concept to production, and much changed in that time. But the end result was worth the wait, even if the price tag – north of £300k – made the LFA a car only for the properly wealthy petrolheads.

2011 Vauxhall VXR8 revealed

Wed, 15 Dec 2010

2011 Vauxhall VXR8 will cost £50k The world is woefully short of old-fashioned, rear-wheel drive, hairy-chested saloon cars that actually handle. True, there are still some Yank-Tanks around at less than stellar money that do a good impersonation, but for the real deal you need to buy a Vauxhall. Or at least a Vauxhall from Oz – the 2011 Vauxhall VXR8 (which we saw at Goodwood in the summer in Holden clothes).
