Willys Jeep F-head 4 cylinder engine. Picked this up at an auction, turns over, looks like they took some time to cover the openings for storage so it may be a good engine.
Turns over freely by hand, no rough spots, I can see thru the spark plug holes that No. 1 exhaust valve is stuck in the open position. All other valves are free. Selling as a rebuildable core as I don't know any more about the engine. Engine number 4J412595 indicated a CJ3B application from 1965 Local pickup in Elkhart In 46514, have forklift for loading. If the buyer makes all arrangements for shipping I will work with the trucking company for loading. I cannot quote shipping prices. Chrysler Sebring and Dodge Avenger to get a new lease on life
Mon, 28 Sep 2009With Fiat-based replacements still at least two years away, the Chrysler Group has delayed plans to kill its slow-selling Chrysler Sebring and Dodge Avenger, sources say. The two sedans were all but left for dead by previous owner Cerberus Capital Management. Now insiders say Chrysler intends to freshen the cars and keep them on the market until late 2012.
EyesOn design awards 2012 winners announced at NAIAS
Tue, 10 Jan 2012The Detroit-based EyesOn Design competition winners have just been announced at their traditional time, late on the second press day of the North American International Auto Show in Detroit. The jury, which this year included Ralph Giles (Chrysler), Derek Jenkins (Mazda), Lorenzo Ramaciotti (Fiat/Chrysler), Peter Schreyer (Kia) and Franz Von Holzhausen (Tesla) had a much greater array of products to choose from than in recent years; this is a somewhat rejuvenated Detroit auto show. From the cars on display at the show, the judges shortlisted the Ford Fusion, BMW 3-Series and Cadillac ATS for the best production car award.
Giugiaro honored in Korean ceremony
Thu, 15 Dec 2011Giorgetto Giugiaro has received honors from the South Korean Government for his contribution to the nation's fledgling automotive industry. In a ceremony in Seoul, Giugiaro received the prestigious 'Order of Merit' from the President of the Republic of Korea, Lee Myung-bak. The relationship between Italdesign Giugiaro and Korea stretches back to the 1970s, a period of significant growth for the Korean nation, stifled only by its lackluster automotive industry. It fell to the Italian designer to invigorate an industry that survived on reassembling and rebranding foreign domestic models. Giugiaro's solution was the simple Hyundai Pony.
