Carburetors and linkages are totally disassembled and ultrasonically cleaned. New throttle shafts are installed with line bored bushings as needed. Passages are blown clear with high pressure air. Pistons and bores are polished and mounts are trued. New fuel inlet needle valves, gaskets, diaphragms and o-rings installed. Starter bars are disassembled, cleaned and adjusted. Includes new manifold mounting gaskets. Does NOT include missing or broken parts. Chrysler, Hyundai set pace as auto sales rise 11 percent

Chrysler Group, Volkswagen Group, Hyundai and Kia set the pace as U.S. light vehicle sales rose 11 percent in January from a year ago, signaling the industry's recovery is gaining traction. Chrysler's sales advanced by 44 percent last month, and volume climbed 40 percent at the Volkswagen Group.

Audi reveals the new A1 Sportback 5 Door With almost two years of sales of the ‘Only Premium Car in its Class’ (Audi’s assertion), Audi has revealed the more practical version of its smallest car – the five-door Audi A1 Sportback. Visually, the five-door A1 looks just the same as the three-door A1 – with the obvious addition of a pair of back doors – but Audi has managed to 6mm in height and width which, they say, improves room in the back. Which it may, but as the length and wheelbase remain the same it won’t do anything for legroom.

Start-up EV manufacturer Aptera Motors has announced it is going out of business. The brainchild of former Chrysler brand manager and CEO of ASC Inc, Paul Wilbur, the company had gained approval for a $150 million loan from the U.S. Department of Energy's advanced vehicle fund, but was unable to find further backing.
