Ferrari 250 GTO hitting Bonhams in August – but how much will it sell for?
Wed, 02 Jul 2014Will the Violati Ferrari 250 GTO (pictured) break the $60 million barrier? The last Ferrari 250 GTO Series 1 to hit auction rooms in 2012, fetched a remarkable $35 million, and last year another 250 GTO – chassis #5111 – was sold in a private deal thought to be worth $52 million. And now another Series 1 250 GTO is about to hit the sale room.
USED VALUES HOLD STEADY
Thu, 10 Oct 2013THERE was no change in the value of the average used car between October and November 2010, according to new figures from BCA. November values were down £111 year-on-year and remained at £5,792 There was a slight increase in the volume of used vehicles reaching the market in November, but not enough to provoke any change. A seasonal lack of interest on the market is to blame for the lack of fluctuation as well as travel difficulties created by the cold weather, according to BCA, and the drop off in demand is likely to remain into December.
Bristol Cars goes Bust
Fri, 04 Mar 2011Bristol Fighter - Bristol Cars are in Administration I know, you didn’t even know they still existed. They do, but for how much longer is anyone’s guess as Bristol Cars calls in the administrators. Which is a real shame; a proper, eccentric British car maker finding it impossible to make enough sales to pay the bills, when there seem to be enough batty billionaires to buy the worst atrocities the world’s pimpers can muster (much the same problem afflicted Overfinch).
