Titanium & Glass Fiber Turbo Blanket Heat Shield Cover For GT4 Natural Color - K

Fitted exhaust heat blanket reduces turbo lag and increases turbo spool time while significantly reducing under hood temperatures. An excellent heat barrier protects the hood, hoses, and painted surfaces from residual heat damage.Turbocharges create a huge amount of heat as they work, and can get so hot that nearby electronics can melt or even effect the paint on your hood. A turbo blanket is the best, easiest, and cheapest way to keep your turbo from causing any damage to the rest of your car. A turbo blanket helps isolates your turbocharger from the engine compartment, keeping the superheated air where it belongs. These turbo blankets do such a good job of keeping temps under control that you can place your hand on top of the turbo without fear of burning your hand.

Wed, 08 Nov 2006

By Phil McNamara First Official Pictures 08 November 2006 09:37 Bristol today revals a new twin-turbocharged version of its Fighter supercar, claiming this T model will crack 0-60mph in less than 3.5sec and has a top speed limited to 225mph. The iconoclastic west London luxury car maker developed the T to satisfy customer demands for more performance. Not that the regular Fighter is a slouch: the 525bhp V10 coupe cracks 0-60mph in 4.0sec and surpasses 200mph.

Remember when Toyotas used to be weird? Sure, they've been doing some marginal experimentation lately, bringing us one half of the Febreze twins and making the Lexus GS a legit good driver's car. But oh, when will they cast the mantle of staid sturdiness fully into the wind?

German car makers are dropping big engines

Sat, 29 Nov 2008

[ad#ad-1] It’s the trend at the moment, and one that won’t go down very well with our American cousins, who are fond of saying that ‘There ain’t no substitute for cubic inches’, as the three big luxury German Car Companies – Audi BMW and Mercedes – are planning to move away from their big ‘V’ engines. BMW V10 - on the way out The news started last week, when Audi let it be known that their new S5 will not use the V8, but will instead use a supercharged V6. Earlier this week, news came from BMW that its next generation of ‘M’ cars will forsake the V10s so beloved of M owners, and will instead go for turbo versions of the V8.
